Designed to be mounted at the outlet of the label dispenser, the WFS fork sensor is said to accurately detect label location and interval on the substrate. The sensor enables rapid adjustment to the requirements of different label runs with "excellent" repeat accuracy.
Its compact design provides edge detection of non-transparent labels on different web materials, and also double sheet-fed incidents. The 50µs response time ensures rapid reaction at high web speeds, and fast response to adjustments.
New labels can be fed in remotely via a programmable logic controller or control panel during operation and on-sensor controls provide fine tuning. A light/dark function enables rapid contrast switching.
The plastic housing allows easy mounting over the edge of the label strip, and is environmentally protected to IP65, to ensure long reliable sensor life under production conditions.
