US manufacturer of plastic reseal profiles Zip-Pak claims that its latest high temperature-resistant range is opening up almost every part of the flexible packaging market to resealability.
The Hi-Temp range of polypropylene (PP) zippers builds on the existing Retort profile with solutions for microwave, boil-in-the-bag and post-pasteurised packs. "The materials used have to withstand higher temperatures and minimise extractables," explains sales and marketing director Robert Hogan.
He adds: "We have a very active programme now through Zip-Pak Japan, and if we're successful with this, it will demonstrate that we can provide resealability for just about any food application."
