Two new dishes have been introduced into a range of provenance based almost-ready meals, which is enjoying unprecedented demand since its launch earlier this year.
Sales of the Look What We Found ambient gourmet meals took off with such success that two new products - Julie Hall’s Salmon in a Creamy Pesto Sauce and Clotilde Prost’s French Farmhouse inspired Chicken Chasseur - have been added to the range.
As with others in the range, their unique selling point is that the meals do not require refrigeration and have a shelf life of up to one year, which is unusual in the ambient market, says the company. The dishes have been created following slow food principles and focus heavily on provenance, with each pack stating exactly where the main ingredients were sourced.
Furthermore, aimed at caterers and food service providers, the range contains no preservatives or artificial flavours and simply needs to be warmed and served with an accompaniment.
Each dish is carefully hand prepared by a professional chef using ingredients of provenance specially selected for quality and taste. Salmon dish creator Julie Hall says: “The fact they can be stored without refrigeration, means they are a far superior alternative to chilled or frozen dishes for the professional caterer.”
