New meals are rolled out as Brakes doubles its healthy offerings range

Brakes has unveiled a huge expansion to its Healthier Choices range of products, with new launches in salads, sandwich fillings, ready meals and desserts.

The company launched its Healthier Choice specifically for school meals last year but has now doubled the range to be suitable for pubs, restaurants, industry caterers and sandwich bars. More products are already at the development stage for launch later this year, says the company.

New low fat products include potato salad, coleslaw and a Chinese-style noodle salad, Chicken Fajita and Double Cheese & Onion sandwich fillings, Beef Casserole, Lasagne Verdi and Sweet & Sour Chicken ready meals and its Breaded Chicken Burger, which contains 30% less fat and 60% less sodium than equivalent Brakes products.

New desserts in the range include Mixed Berry Frozen Yoghurt and Toffee Apple Sponge Pudding.
