March is show and pitch time

By Lorraine Mullaney, 28-Jan-2011

The International Food and Drink Event (IFE11) takes place at London’s ExCel centre on March 13–16. The last show in 2009 saw over 1,200 exhibitors and 22,395 visitors from 83 countries pass through its doors.

The 2011 show will launch The English Regional Kitchen, in which chefs will cook samples of the UK's best local produce.

Elsewhere, the World of Oil will tap into rising consumer demand for high-quality oils.

Emma Stocking, commercial manager at Innocent Drinks said: "The access to buyers is great and lots of people are willing to come and chat to us, especially about our new launches."

Products launching at the show include: Moo-Cluck a 'healthy' ice cream that contains no emulsifiers or stabilisers and fewer than 100 calories per 100ml serving; Streamdrinks' low calorie drinks with a vitamin and nutraceutical mix in the cap; Alfees' frozen Strombolis, which compete with the sandwich wrap and pizza market; and Cho Yung green tea, which promises to stimulate weight loss.

#The tea is based on a 400-year-old Chinese recipe and aims to oxidise fat and stimulate the digestive tract.
