Cornish pasty manufacturer launches breakfast range

01-Mar-2010

Crantock Bakery has launched a new range of on-the-go breakfast bites following requests from retailers wanting to offer a broader range of products.

The launch includes two new products. The first is a sausage, cheese and beans breakfast bite contains baked beans, slices of sausage, cheddar cheese and seasoning in a D-shaped flaky pastry case. The second new product is a bacon, cheese and beans Breakfast Bite, which contains baked beans, pieces of smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and seasoning.

"Our research shows that one in five people are too busy to eat breakfast before they leave home in the morning," said Becky Hornabrook, who created the new product.

"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and our customers told us there was demand for a smaller product for people who are picking up breakfast on the way to work. At 150g the breakfast bites are the perfect way to start your day," she said.

The new products join Crantock's growing breakfast range. In addition to the new launches, the range includes a full English breakfast pasty, available in sausage and cheese, and cheese and bacon.

Crantock Bakery's pasties, sausage rolls and hand-raised pies are sold all over the country in branches of Morrison's, Asda, Proper Pasty, Cornish Kitchen and many independent bakeries.
