Food processors and packers can identify via markings on individual pack labels those foods that are relatively high or low in fat, salt and sugar with an automated weigh price labelling machine from Herbert Industrial.
According to Herbert's md Andy Duncan, the Gemini will enable full compliance with proposals for new labels being considered under the Food Standards Agency's consultation document on signposting labelling, "for example, by using a simple traffic light system to help consumers determine food content and plan a healthy diet"
