A stainless steel version of its Carrera 500 PC electronic flow-wrapper has been launched by Hapak. It is designed for use with fresh produce, sandwiches, pizzas, meat, and products which are packed in damp environments or where potentially corrosive cleaning agents are used.
The system is said to offer smaller manufacturers a cost-effective way of benefiting from electronic packaging technology. It offers production speeds of 100 packs a minute and is said to be easy to operate and maintain.
Included as standard is a no-product/no-bag feature, automatic size changing, and rotary sealing jaws to ensure seal quality.
