However, production at the bakery’s ChippidyDooDaa snacks plant, which suffered the bulk of the fire damage, will not recommence until next spring, a spokeswoman told FoodManufacture.co.uk.
“We’re at about 75% production now for bread and should be back to 100% by the end of the week. The snacks production is anticipated to be up and running again next spring.”
Ten fire engines from stations across Manchester were called to the bakery to deal with the blaze, which started on July 29.
Sicne the ChippidyDooDaa snacks range was only launched in March, it was "too early" to talk about its success, or whether supermarkets would relist the products once the plant was back up and running, said the spokeswoman.
