One of the world’s rarest and most luxurious beers has arrived in London and is on sale for a whopping £800 at St Pancras railway station.

The six-litre bottle of ‘Savour, Everything in Moderation’ took 18 months to develop, has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 10.5%, and is on sale at Sourced Market St Pancras.

The bottle is one of only six made for sale in the world.

The beer was brewed using 100% floor malted British barley, hops and three yeast strains.

As the yeast dynamics “work their magic” in the bottle, the flavours will continue to develop and mature over time, Sourced Market claimed.

Same respect as champagne

Ben O’Brien, founder of Sourced Market, said it should be consumed with the same respect as champagne

“We’re really lucky to be the host of this extraordinary brew,” he said. “In terms of taste and how to consume, this beer will take British beer lovers’ experience to the next level.

“It’s a mighty beer, and one lucky Briton will soon have the honour of sipping on it with his friends.”

The beer is said to have a rich and smooth taste, with hints of caramel and honey, he added.

Posted by Chris,

A beer with 10.5%? Try convincing me that's not going to taste worse than Tennants Super or Special Brew. Let's face it, it will taste like syrup with an aftertaste of cheap Scotch - it's going to need some slick marketing to shift that to gullible punters at the Station!!
