The latest development in peristaltic and sinusoidal pump technology is said to raise the game in clean pumping for all food applications, according to its supplier Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group.

The MasoSine Certa pump made its UK market debut at the Processing and Packaging Machinery Association/ Total exhibition at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham recently.

Offering European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (Type EL Class I) and 3A certification, Certa is said to be extremely easy to clean for minimal maintenance and downtime.

The pump model completes the existing MasoSine product range by offering users a fully ‘clean-in-place’ capable pump at flow rates up to 99,000 litres/h.

Unlike traditional pumps with rotors that cut through the fluid, Certa’s sinusoidal rotor gently carries fluid through the pump to reduce shear, while cutting power consumption by up to 50% with high viscosity fluids.
