High-sensitivity detectors

13-May-2005

The MET 30+ hf range of metal detectors has been designed by Lock Inspection Systems primarily for use in the snack food and bakery industries. It is claimed that it offers up to 35% higher sensitivity than standard detectors.

Each unit has a single, high-frequency, crystal-controlled oscillator for inspecting dry foods, such as biscuits and crisps, at 875kHz.

Lock's MET 30+ 3f is claimed to be the world's first fully automatic triple-frequency detector for inspecting poly-film and metallised packaged products. It operates at three crystal-controlled frequencies -- high, medium, low -- and has an in-built automatic frequency selection facility which chooses the optimum frequency whatever the product or packaging.
