There’s still time to win a Food Manufacture Excellence Award (FMEA), with deadline for entries now extended to Friday July 29.

The FMEAs – now in their 16th year – celebrate the best of the best in food and drink manufacturing. The free-to-enter awards showcase outstanding achievement displayed by manufacturing businesses and the people who lead them.

Eight category awards cover all the main industry sectors including: ambient, bakery, beverages, chilled, dairy, fresh, frozen and meat, poultry or seafood. Our independent panel of judges – lead once again by food business guru and chair of the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink Paul Wilkinson – will be searching for manufacturers with an inspired track record of success.

We want to find the firms that have boosted output, improved efficiency, cut costs and inspired their workforces to reach beyond their grasp.

Food Manufacture Company of the Year

From the category award winnners, the judges will select the overall Food Manufacture Company of the Year.

Last year, the coveted title was won by Moy Park, after the business first collected the Meat and Poultry Manufacturing Company of the Year trophy. Could you match the poultry producer’s achievement? Why not find out for free by entering this year’s awards?

After entering a category award, manufacturers are then eligible to enter one of five Industry Initiative Awards. Those include: Best New Use of Food Ingredients, Environmental Initiative of the Year, Supply Chain Initiative of the Year, Training Programme of the Year and Young Talent of the Year.

Other awards that will be presented at our Venice-themed awards evening will be: Judges’ Star Performer, SME Innovation of the Year and the new Me and My Factory – Editor’s Choice Award. See box below for more details.

Readers are also invited to vote for the Food Manufacture Personality of the Year from a shortlist of six industry leaders prepared by the Food Manufacture Group editorial team.

Hilton Park Lane

All the awards will be presented at a gala celebration dinner at the Hilton Park Lane in London on November 2.

So, don’t miss your opportunity to put your business among the food and drink manufacturing Oscar winners.
