There’s just one day to go until our James Bond-themed Food and Drink Manufacturing Excellence Awards (FMEAs) in central London.

The place to be tomorrow night is the Park Lane Hilton Hotel in London, as food and drink manufacturing industry leaders gather to celebrate the best of the best in our highly competitive and progressive sector.

Star TV presenter Mark Durdan Smith will host the awards presentation in front of an audience of hundreds of top industry professionals.

Sector specific awards will be presented to recognise firms' achievement in ambient, bakery, beverage, chilled and dairy and meat, poultry and and seafood manufacturing.

Host of awards

There will be awards too in categories such as Best new use of food ingredients, Supply chain initiative, Small and medium-sized enterprise innovation in addition to a host of other trophies.

New this year is the Young Talent award, which will be made to a young person who is really making his or her mark in the food and drink manufacturing sector – someone with the potential to be an industry leader of tomorrow.

The Big One

The gala awards evening will culminate in the big one – the Food manufacturing company of the year. Last year Premier Foods scooped the top title. Who will wear the crown this year? There’s not long to wait before we find out.

Watch out for full coverage of the awards on Twitter, at #foodmanawards, online with video highlights and photogalleries and in Food Manufacture magazine.

Meanwhile, to get you in the mood for tomorrow night’s industry-wide celebration, enjoy the short video below capturing the highlights of last year’s award ceremony.
