A continuously operating horizontal decanter centrifuge, said to offer optimum dewatering in confined spaces up to a capacity of 3,000l/h, has been developed by Westfalia Separator for the food, beverage, and chemical industries.

The CD305 has its main and secondary motors fitted between the legs of the frame to save space. All parts in contact with product are made from stainless steel.

Low maintenance and low energy consumption requirements reduce the long-term running costs of the machine, says the company's John Cook. Other features include low noise and hinged hoods which provide open access to key components.
