Metal detection systems designed specifically for sausage production lines are now available, thanks to a partnership between inspection specialist Loma Systems and meat processing equipment supplier Vemag.

Adding to Loma's PipeLine range, the compact Vemag pipeline is claimed to guarantee high levels of performance, delivering accurate metal detection checks.

With a pipeline that fits comfortably on a standard hinge of the meat pump and with a fully integrated drive unit, this metal detector is said to perform to a high standard when checking for metal contaminants in the sausage production line before it is fed through to a Vemag machine. If any contaminants are detected, they are quickly and efficiently rejected.

The system also benefits from an easy release handle to enable detachment for cleaning and software that tracks changes in product conductivity.

Loma has received orders for nine units, in the weeks following the unit's launch.
