Compact design aids versatility

Automated packing systems specialist Brillopak has introduced a versatile new robotic palletiser for the food industry that is designed to place a variety of container formats onto pallets, including crates, cases and trays.

Suitable for a wide range of applications, including fruit and vegetables, salads, meat, and chilled and frozen foods, the new Brillopak Compact C211 features highly compact dimensions, far smaller than conventional robot cells. These enable the machine to fit easily into even the smallest of factory spaces or to integrate with other packing equipment to provide a complete line solution.

The machine operates at 10 cycles a minute or between 10 and 120 containers a minute, dependent on application. A multi-purpose end effector enables it to handle multiple sizes, while a touchscreen with pre-set recipe functions ensures easy operation and fast changeovers.

The C211 has been constructed with minimal moving parts, providing excellent reliability for round-the-clock operation. A hygienic design with rounded edges and easy access enables fast washdown and maintenance.

Options available include a bale arm closing unit for crates, crate de-stackers, auto bar code detection, vision systems and ethernet connection for remote access and support.
