Britvic Soft Drinks has recently installed a new Sika floor at its manufacturing plant at Rugby.
The floor was part of a refurbishment of its 6,000m2warehouse which has been converted into a bottling plant for new Pepsi half-litre bottles.
Following preparation of the old concrete surface, a water-based, heavy-duty polyurethane screed Sikafloor PurCem 20 was applied at a depth of 9mm to provide a smooth, durable surface with excellent slip resistance. Also applied was PurCem 29, which provided high chemical resistance to areas which required detailed mortar work, and PurCem 31 to improve the overall finish of the flooring.
