Better control of brine formulation, injection and massaging of protein

13-May-2005

Communication has been raised to a new level by the Polarvision system designed for food processing operations, claims Mark Bishop, director of Interfood Technology. "It is a software package that provides the user with full production accountability -- specifically, optimum control and monitoring of brine preparation, injecting, and massaging."

The 'total processing approach' allows preventative action to be taken by reporting from critical points in the production process, and it enables on-the-spot decision-making thus helping to avoid loss of labour time and associated costs.

"The Polarvision concept gives full accountability of the meat, not just for our customers but for our customers' customers," says Bishop. "It is not just about offering a complete system in terms of equipment, but about meeting the needs of all of those involved in the production process from the supplier to the end-customer."

Polarvision can be linked to a personal computer, pager, or mobile telephone thus enabling the user to receive real-time or daily messages or reports, away from the production line, if necessary. If a fault is discovered the system can be linked directly to Interfood's service team which speeds the fault diagnosis and reaction time.
