Work is now well underway on soft drinks manufacturer AG Barr's new £41M manufacturing and logistics facility being built by Gazeley at its Magna Park site in Milton Keynes.

The 24,814m2 facility is due for completion in February 2013. Once complete, AG Barr, famous for brands such as Irn-Bru, Rubicon and Tizer, and recently merged with Britvic in a £1.4bn deal to form Barr Britvic Soft Drinks, will fit out the building before it becomes fully operational next summer.

"When fully utilised this facility will employ approximately 100 people from the local area," said operations director Andrew Memmott. "The investment we are making in Magna Park is a sign of our confidence in our future development plans and our commitment to the Milton Keynes area."

The 'build-to-suit' project includes the construction of a warehouse, production facility and offices and is being built using Gazeley's fast delivery methodology known as G Track.

Magna Park Milton Keynes is Gazeley's flagship UK development site, designed to provide facilities for businesses seeking modern logistics warehousing accommodation in a central location. The scheme provides a fully landscaped, managed environment with good access.

The park covers approximately 210 acres, with planning consent for 410,000m3 and is already home to a number of major brands including John Lewis and River Island.
