Light butter replacers added to Baker’s range
Two new varieties of a product that can directly replace butter or margarine, but is said to be healthier and up to half the price, have been developed by the Carotino Group.
Baker’s Friend Light and Baker’s Friend Extra Light follow the original Baker’s Friend, which was launched earlier this year.
Demand for lighter buttery flavours
They meet customer demand for lighter buttery flavours, making the product suitable for everything from cupcakes to cookies, biscuits to baklava and pastries to pies, said Carotino md Dan Lawson.
“The original variety is popular with those bakers who are looking for a really buttery taste,” he added.
