Using naturally occurring biocides generated by advanced oxidation technology, a new water-based surface and utensil sanitiser aims to deliver massive reductions in harmful micro-organisms that can cause Salmonella, Listeria, E-coli and other illnesses related to food hygiene.
Effective against bacteria, viruses, yeasts and moulds, the Radical Water System runs an electric current through water to create unstable oxygen molecules. In their attempt to find other molecules to bond with, these crash into micro-organisms, killing them on contact.
As the system delivers a physical kill, micro-organisms cannot develop a resistance, as happens with chemical-based sanitisers such as chlorine. It also involves less downtime.
The Radical Water System dispenses with the need for chemicals, using only naturally occurring substances which do not impact on the environment. The ozonated water created is safe to handle, leaving no taints or residues, and breaks down after use into water and oxygen.
