Bakkavör wins RoSPA health and safety award
The firm’s Tilmanstone Salads site in Kent and Wingland Foods in Lincolnshire were awarded for their approach to tackling the prevention of accidents in the workplace as part of the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2012.
Both sites have been awarded Gold status by the organisation and will collect their awards at a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre, on Tuesday, May 15.
It will be the fifth consecutive year that the Wingland site has achieved Gold status, according to the firm.
Hard work and commitment
Ann Savage, group technical director at Bakkavör, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised by RoSPA for our achievements. This reflects the hard work and commitment both of these sites have made towards the on-going prevention of accidents and ill health within their respective businesses.”
