This Westminster Food & Nutrition Forum seminar will see delegates discussing the next steps for reducing sugar consumption in the UK, ahead of the 2018 sugar tax.

There will be a keynote contribution at this seminar from Mark Lloyd, lead, Soft Drinks Industry Levy, HM Treasury as well as from Dr Alison Tedstone of Public Health England.

The agenda is being structured to facilitate discussion on engaging industry, working with consumers to drive behaviour change and overcoming the practical challenges to reducing sugar content – including discussion on portion size, labelling and reformulation. 

Lucozade Ribena Suntory and Leatherhead Food Research will be presenting a talk on the future food and drink regulatory environment. The talk will focus on labelling, product reformulation and implementing the sugar tax.
