RPC Bebo UK Corby and RPC Barrier Containers France have provided new plastic packaging for Spanish fish processor Salica, enabling its range of tuna-based ready meals to be heated directly in the microwave.
The ready meals range comprises tuna balls in two different sauce flavours - tomato and pepper, and a Spanish sauce - which are carefully sterilised so they taste as good as fresh tuna.
Salica previously packaged its tuna ready meals in cans but was keen to relaunch them in a ready meal format that could be prepared without the consumer having to remove the contents from the packaging.
RPC Bebo UK Corby is supplying a 350ml Royale bowl, thermoformed in white polypropylene and ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer multi-layer laminate barrier film.
Fully microwaveable, the container is ideal for ambient storage.
