Innocent ups school supply

By Rod Addy , 18-Jun-2007

Smoothie maker Innocent is dramatically upping the number of schools it supplies.

The manufacturer currently distributes its drinks to 550 schools, but said it was aiming to increase this total to 1,300 by the end of this year.

Its drinks are currently sold in schools at a subsidised price of 75p “because we are clear about wanting to help kids get on board more fruit”, said a spokeswoman.

She said the company designs special children’s smoothies, which “are a bit thinner and don’t have bits because kids hate bits”
