Foodservice and industrial usage will drive future value growth in sauces and dressings, according to the latest Food Manufacture Market Report, compiled in association with RTS Resource.
The research shows the category has grown 4.1%, from £1.2bn to £1.5bn from 2001-2006. Table sauces, cooking sauces and salad dressings have all grown market share in foodservice, while losing ground in retail. Areas of potential growth include chilled and ambient pasta sauces.
