The number of consumers using the cooking guidelines on prepared foods is now more than 80%, according to the 2007 Consumer Appliance Survey from Deeside Food Services.
The study also revealed that 51% of UK households surveyed used a fan assisted oven, yet the majority of prepared foods do not provide a cooking guideline for this appliance type.
A total of 934 UK consumers aged 18-65 were involved in the survey, which was conducted to provide an insight into the ownership and usage of domestic cooking appliances.
