Owner of the Manor Farm Duckling brand, MFD Foods, which went in to receivership in June 2004, has arranged new private financial backing.
The company, which employs 150 staff and has an annual turnover of £17m selling whole duck and duckling portions to supermarkets, is to be led by new md, John Woodhouse.
A trained development chef, Woodhouse plans new frozen and chilled products to meet the market for quick meal solutions and a free-range offer.
