The firm, which posted sales growth of 6.9% in the five months to the end of May, said the rise in prices was “predicted to continue for the rest of the year and we have commenced the process of increasing prices to our customers”.
Trading performance in 2010 was "in line with expectations, with the trend in sales continuing to improve", said chief executive Geoff Eaton (pictured).
The firm, which makes sandwiches, salads and desserts, remained in “active dialogue with the pensions regulator” over its proposed pension solution.
Uniq’s results for the half-year to June 30 will be announced on July 22.
